Congress had hearings for 9/11, for Waco, and for steroid abuse, are the tens of thousands of victims of sex abuse by clergy in the United States any less deserving? I spoke with Jim Robertson, L.A. SNAP leader yesterday, and he told me this is what he plans to say at the event this morning, 11:00, at the Catholic Cathedral downtown L.A. at 555 Temple Street.
Survivors of clergy sex abuse have known for years that the guilt goes all the way to the Vatican, especially Pope Benedict XVI, not because we have a vendetta for him, but because some of the evidence released this week, such as the Servants of the Paracletes documents, have been available to us for years. (Click here to see Paracletes Docs scanned in at City of Angels in June 2008.) Now that the rest of the world sees the hiearachy collusion, the people of the United States deserve hearings at a Federal Congressional Level to find out the extent of aiding and abetting of pedophiles in the Catholic Church that resulted in Six Thousand predator priests discovered so far in this country. Jim told me this is what he plans to say today at the Cathedral..

Well, commenter, I took a couple days off, didn't realize I had a "boss" expecting a report. From what I've been told SNAP Hierarchy are angry at Jim and local survivors for doing something on their own. Go figure. There is PLENTY to report about last week in L.A., I just haven't decided how to write it. What's your hurry, commenter?
